Get To Know L'Oréal
L'Oréal is a makeup and beauty brand created to help show your self expression! How did they become so popular? Francois Dalle was a big part of L'Oréal Paris and their successes!

About us
My name is Bailey and my goal is to share something about L'Oréal that you may not have already known. My intended audience is for teens and twenties who may use this brand or are curious about it!
Francois Dalle
The company was “propelled forward” by an important and smart man, who is Francois Dalle. He focused on his commitment to research and innovation, while also listening to his customers and what they wanted from this brand.
Seize the Moment
Dalle had the principle of “seize the moment”, and this approach helped the creation of many new and improved brands under the L’Oréal Group
Acquisitions
L’Oréal grew spectacularly, thanks to strategic acquisitions of brands like Mixa, Lancôme, Biotherm, and Laboratories Garnier. You can see these brands under and owned by L'Oréal.
Because I'm Worth It
Because I’m worth it became a tagline that was the first advertising for the importance of self-esteem in the 1960-70s. In 1980-90s, women started to take on more roles in public and in the workplace, which led L’Oréal to create make-up and skincare products to help them “face the world feeling good about themselves and stay looking young.” L’Oréal seemed to be a big confidence booster .
L'Oréal Growing
During Dalle’s time in leading the company, L’Oreal products had expanded past the borders of France and into many new beauty parlors. This happened in his early years, and can be seen as a good sign that he will be able to make this company explode and become very well known. In 1964, L’Oréal obtained Lancôme, which marked “L’Oréal’s entry into the luxury market.” That same year Dalle introduced a hair care brand called L’Oréal Recherché, which was later renamed Kerastase in 1967. This product began selling into salons.

New Products
In the 1970s, L’Oreal had acquired Biotherm, and launched an anti wrinkle sun cream, because during that time, women got into tanning, but didn’t think about how it would affect their skin. This was just the start, and later they developed more lotions and creams for tanning, based on the needs of the women.
